Review – Monster Hunter World

By | 22/02/2018

Capcom’s epic battle RPG Monster Hunter World reviews for Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The huge, open world collection game takes a turn to appeal to Western audiences while staying true to it’s traditional hardcore roots.

Monster Hunter World is being toted by some games as possibly the greatest RPG ever made and is certainly one of the best new games of 2018 if not the best so far. A bold statement given the stable of traditional and well established RPGs already on the market. One thing is for sure though, straight off the bat the game’s visuals are absolutely stunning, from the bright and bold serenity of the forests to the rich and deep colour ranges of caves and the night sky.

The original game series is known and feared for it’s steep learning curve, which has been toned down for a Western audience in an attempt to be more open and appealing to a broader gaming audience.

To date the series has sold over 45 million copies with the new release of Monster Hunter World has sold in the millions on Xbox One and PS4 which sees it firmly placed in the top ten of chart games for each console.
