It’s that time of the week we all look forward to in Grand Theft Auto Online, the massively popular online component of the hugely successful Grand Theft Auto V, and that is the GTA Online weekly update.
There is no content this week as addition from the Southern San Andreas Super Sport Series DLC released two weeks ago; this is likely due to the fact that Rockstar has recently changed the way that they handle drip content. They are now releasing new tie-locked content in more substantial bunches every couple of weeks rather than the usual ‘one piece at a time’ paradigm. However, this week sees the usual discounts and bonus GTA Online cash and RP, which are more substantial than usual this week, making up for the lack of new content.
GTA Online cash and RP bonuses come this week courtesy of a very generous double GTA Online cash and RP for gunrunning sell missions as part of contraband week which also includes 50% faster research at your bunker which could potentially earn you up to $10,000,000 provided you work very hard.
Target Assault mode races (added as part of the Southern San Andreas Super Sport Series DLC) are also still running at double GTA Online cash and RP. Target Assault races have (temporarily I presume) replaced Adversary mode as the new game modes in which players can earn extra bonuses.
There’s a lot of discounts this week (centred around the Gunrunning DLC) to take advantage of contraband week, most of which are applied to items which are on the more expensive side, so now would be the time to get that bunker or weaponised vehicle you always wanted.
- Mobile Operations Center Cabs – 30% off
- Mobile Operations Center Bays – 30% off
- MkII Weapons Upgrades – 25% off
- Vom-Feuer Anti-Aircraft Trailer – 25% off
- HVY APC – 25% off
- BF Dune – 25% off
- Declasse Weaponised Tampa – 25% off
- HVY Nightshark – 25% off
- Farmhouse Bunker -50% off
- Thomson Scrapyard Bunker – 45% off
- Smoke Tree Road Bunker – 40% off
- All Bunker Upgrades – 30% off
- All Bunker Renovations – 30% off
Just two vehicles discounted this week however they are actually two of the best and most expensive vehicles in the game, so if you always wanted one of these then now is the perfect time to take advantage of the GTA Online discounts.
Two of Legendary Motorsport’s finest are both running at 25% off:
There’s good news for racers this week because this week’s GTA Online premium race will be rewarding GTA Online cash for the final three and triple GTA Online RP regardless of your final position in the race.
- Race: The Loop
- GTA Online Cash: rewarded for positions 1, 2 and 3
- GTA Online RP: Triple for everyone
This week’s GTA Online time trail will be rewarding GTA Online cash and GTA Online RP for beating the par time set for the race.
- Race: Great Ocean Highway
- GTA Online Cash: rewarded for beating par time
- GTA Online RP: rewarded for beating par time
See You Next Wednesday…
This week’s bonuses and discounts are pretty generous regardless of whether or not we got some new vehicles. The Souther San Andreas Super Sport Series DLC still has new content to offer over the coming weeks. We will see new vehicles, game modes and the usual discounts which I prefict are all going to be centred around our illegal businesses and padding them out.
I urge you to take advantage of the bunker discounts as they are very expensive to buy and upgrade and get out there are make some GTA Online cash while contraband week is active. Double GTA Online cash this week from bunker sales could potentially earn you up to $10,000,000 if you really put in the work which will be more than enough to buy the items for the next big DLC whatever that may be.
Thanks for reading and have fun in GTA Online.
