Seven years after release, a GTA Online new location will finally be added to the massive online crime game in an upcoming DLC.
Titled “The Cayo Perico Heist“, this will be the first time that the game has taken players to a new location other than in or around Los Santos.
According to official news from Rockstar Newswire, the heist will see you rip off a notorious drug dealer by breaking into his island compound.
The exciting news about this DLC is that it is designed to be played as a team or solo if you wish.
Being a solo player myself, this is great news as I really don’t like to play in teams, since most people either quit halfway through or are just poor at the game.
The DLC is expected to add the usual vehicles and clothing however there are a few additions that are very welcome indeed.
Finally, new weapons are to be added to the game which hasn’t been done for years.
“Social spaces”, whatever these may be, sound interesting and I hope that these are also, finally, some new houses to live in.
Personally, I’m hoping for an island mansion, but we will have to wait and see.

Multiple radio stations are also set to be added to the game, however, personally, I can’t stand most of the music on GTA Online, so I’m not too excited about this.
The most exciting thing about this DLC though might be the submarine HQ.
While there are no details yet, this item has been teased in the past and I can only imagine the awesome new tools that will come with this.
However, if previous DLCs are anything to go by, I won’t expect anything in this DLC to be cheap.
To be fair, Rockstar usually gives us the opportunity to earn more cash coming up to a new DLC and even give away free money, so keep your eyes open.
The fact that the game has even been running for seven years is very impressive and GTA Online will only get bigger.
It was announced earlier this year that the game will be released as a standalone title for next-gen consoles as a free upgrade.
GTA Online: The Cayo Perico Heist release date is set for December 15 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
