Grand Theft Auto Online Weekly Update
It’s that time of the week we all look forward to in Grand Theft Auto Online, the massively popular online component of the hugely successful Grand Theft Auto V, and that is the GTA Online weekly update.
Just like the other week there are no new time-locked vehicles from the Southern San Andreas Super Sports Series drip feed releasing this week in GTA Online. It appears that Rockstar has changed the way that the game handles drip feed content; rather than one new vehicle per week, we are getting two or three every other week.
This week has been designated “Smuggler’s Week” with a slew of discounts and bonuses centred around the Smuggler’s Run DLC which was released in August last year.
Although there are no new vehicles there is a ton of very generous bonuses and discounts on some of the game’s more expensive items which are all based around the Smuggler’s Run DLC. These include hangars, hangar upgrades and aircraft. There has never been a more exciting time to be a sky pirate.
Here’s what Rockstar Games has to say:
“The skies of Southern San Andreas are open for business this week as Smuggler’s Run Sell Missions are dishing out Double GTA$ & RP through April 30th, and for frequent fliers eager to showcase their aerial acrobatics, Stockpile will also deliver double rewards for the same period.
Aerial entrepreneurs aren’t the only ones set to benefit – duck the fuzz in your Issi Classic and earn big with extended double payouts on The Vespucci Job, or risk your neck in a slipstream pass on the Hotring Circuit for even more Double GTA$ & RP.”
GTA Online Cash and RP Bonuses
Obviously given the theme of the week this week’s biggest GTA Online cash and RP bonuses are coming at us in the form of Smuggler’s Run sell missions which can be triggered from your hangar.
Smuggler’s run sell missions are paying out double GTA Online cash and RP so if you have a stockpile of contraband in your hangar (I know I have) then get out there and start selling it off to earn those extra big bucks.
GTA Online Adversary Mode: Stockpile
Another GTA Online cash and RP bonus mission this week is aerial combat mode Stockpile, a returning favourite “Adversary Mode” mission which was part of the Smuggler’s Run DLC time-locked content.
GTA Online Adversary Mode: The Vespucci Job
Also, probably due to its huge popularity right now The Vespucci Job is still running at double GTA Online cash and RP so jump in your Issi Classic and try to only blow the doors off.
GTA Online Stunt Race Mode: Hotring Circuit
In addition, a Southern San Andreas Super Sports Series race mode Hotring Circuit is back and offering double GTA Online Cash and RP as well. Gear up and ride the slipstreams in this hugely popular and unforgiving race mode which can go horribly wrong for you at any second.
GTA Online Discounts
There are a lot of discounts this week and they seem quite generous, probably given that there are no new vehicles.

- Race: Surf and Turf
- GTA Online Cash: rewarded for positions 1, 2 and 3
- GTA Online RP: Triple for everyone
This week’s GTA Online time trial will be rewarding GTA Online cash and GTA Online RP for beating the par time set for the race.
- Race: End to End

- GTA Online RP: rewarded for beating par time
See You Next Week…
There are a lot of very generous bonuses and discounts this week with discounts on some of the most expensive items in the game such as hangars, hangar upgrades and super expensive aircraft. I would advise that you purchase these now as we are unlikely to see discounts of this magnitude on aircraft for a long time if ever again.
Also, please take advantage of the double GTA Online cash and RP for Smuggler’s Run sell missions as these don’t usually pay out a lot. So, if you have a stockpile, now has never been a better time to get smuggling.
If you want to take a small break between smuggling missions then put the double GTA Online cash and RP game modes to use; be cop or robber in the super fun Vespucci job which is currently paying out double money.
However, if your idea of a break is risking life and limb in an insane race with drivers who just want to knock you off the track then head over to the Hotring circuit and see what you are made of. You never know you might bag a big-money payout as this also offering double GTA Online cash and RP.
The coming weeks will see the usual new vehicles and game modes so take advantage of the money offers, get smuggling and get racing as the best is probably yet to come.
Thanks for reading and have fun in GTA Online.
