Wow! Fortnite Season 6 is finally here, and what a treat it is.
There are some major new features included with Fortnite Season 6, including:
- Powerful Shadow Stones
- Creepy New Areas
Season 6 appears to be centered around the supernatural, which makes a lot of sense since this will be the major update season going forward through Halloween, so there are some Halloween/Spooky themed features and items in this ultra cool update.
BREAKING NEWS: Sony has confirmed Fortnite platform crossplay features to be implemented with Fortnite for PlayStation 4:
As with any new Fortnite season, there’s also a cool new battle pass to go with it which features some pretty unique items and skins as well as exclusive new pets.
“The Cube” has emerged from the heavens and it’s emanated darkness has corrupted seven certain areas of the map and as a consequence, enigmatic Shadow Stones have appeared in these corrupted places.
Channel the esoteric energy of these dark relics to shift yourself into a spectral form, turning you almost invisible and able to pass through solid objects, including walls!
Shadow Stones can only be found in the seven corrupted areas, however the effects of the Shadow Stones can be sustained beyond in to un-corrupted areas.
The corruption has also created some unique areas to explore:
- Floating Island
- Corn Fields
- Haunted Castle
These point of interest locations can be explored for some great surprises unique to Season 6.
A huge, exciting and long awaited addition to Fortnite is the inclusion of pets.
Take your loyal buddies on all of your adventures. Pets will react to the action around them giving you an indication of the intensity of the action.
NOTE: Pets are cosmetic items only and Season 6 Battle Pass is required for some of the pets.
As with all new seasons of Fortnite, a Battle Pass is inevitable, however, this season’s Battle Pass is the biggest yet, with 100 new and exclusive rewards up for grabs.
