Star Trek Online has teamed up with Mixed Dimensions, a 3D printing specialist, to soon allow Star Trek Online players to get a 3D model of their in-game starship.
This exciting news for me since I collect Star Trek starship models my self and I have two flag ships of my own in the game itself.
All 500+ ships in the game will also be available for players to print and keep for themselves.
All in-game customisation will appear on the models.
- Ship names
- Colours
- Modifications
The models come as a 12″ resin mould which you can have hand painted by a preofessional artist or even left blank for you to paint your self.
More information as soon as we get it.

Many thought that his youth (and adulthood) playing video games was a waste of time but here he is writing about them for a living.
Michael has a background in IT and enjoys (apart from video games) building and repairing PC’s, digital artwork (Photoshop, 3DS Max) and has interests in too many subjects to mention.
The nerd in me is bursting at the moment. I have been waiting for this for ages. They first announced this a few years ago but the company they partenered with for the 3D printing went bust.
Found another now though. Yay.
