Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Official Details

Details of the next Star Wars game, as well as an official trailer have been released.

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order

The new game, Jedi: Fallen Order is currently in development by Respawn Entertainment, the studio behind Apex Legends, and published by Electronic Arts.

Playing as a young Jedi named Cal Kestis, Fallen Order will take players on an epic adventure across the galaxy.

Cal is one of the few Jedi to have survived secret order 66, the Emperor’s official act to eliminate all Jedi on command.

As such, the game is set between Episode 3 and Episode 4, in the time where Darth Vader and The Emperor are expanding their oppressive Galactic Empire.

The game is set to feature a lot of light saber combat and Jedi powers, returning to the core concepts of Star Wars.

The story is also an original concept and everything is fully licensed and supported by Lucas Arts, including characters and locations.

Stig Amussen, the Game Director at Respawn Entertainment has stated “Many Star Wars fans, ourselves included, are really interested in the dark times, so we wanted to explore that mysterious, dangerous period”.

Being set in this period opens up many opportunities to create stories that fills in any gaps between the two Episodes.

This also means that we could see Darth Vader himself, perhaps even combat with the infamous overlord.

Electronic Arts has also confirmed that the game will be a single player, story driven experience, and will not feature loot boxes.

Fallen Order is also being claimed to be the next step in single player gaming narratives delivering both visual and technical achievements of the highest quality of any currently available platform.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is currently slated for release on 15th November 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Nintendo Labo YouTube VR Support

It has emerged that some VR videos on YouTube are compatible with the newly released Nintendo Labo Toy Con 4 VR headset.

Nintendo Labo VR

Specifically, Google Carboard videos in particular.

This means that video created for Google Cardboard will work and rules out full functionality VR videos.

Full functionality videos such as 360 degree videos with motion control are not compatible with the Toy Con 4.

To find VR videos that will work with the headset, simply search for “Google Cardboard” videos on YouTube.

This good news comes just as we have heard that Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be getting free updates to enable VR content when used with the Nintendo Labo Toy Con 4 VR.

There is currently no more news on what Nintendo’s plans are for future VR content but for now you can enjoy some great VR content that was originally meant for Google Cardboard.

Sony Gifts Free God of War PS4 Theme

To celebrate the one year anniversary of the re-imagined God of War, Sony has gifted all PS4 users with a free God of War theme for the console.

In a recent post Sony stated: “In honour of you, our fans, we’re starting a week-long celebration of the one-year anniversary of this God of War”.

God of War had received many major reviews from gaming outlets praising the game for it’s excellent gameplay and story.

The game also recently won Game of the Year at the BAFTA Game Awards last week, beating Red Dead Redemption 2 and Marvel’s Spider-Man.

Being that it was a remake of the original, with a more in depth story and fleshed out game mechanics, it is expected to be the first in a newly rebooted series.

As of yet though, this hasn’t been confirmed but most gamers believe that if the reboot carries on, it will probably be on the next generation of PlayStation consoles.

More free gifts are planned, including avatar sets are scheduled for release all of this week.

I like the idea of a single player, story-driven video games. It’s great to read that Star Wars Jedi: Faller Order is going to be in RPG format. Thanks for sharing the newest info.

      Hi Ivan.

I think it’s about time we got back to the great Star Wars games of old for a fresh generation.

With all the movies and TV shows still going, I think we should be getting the same treatment as gamers.
