Asobo Studios has released a free trial of one of this year’s surprise under-the-radar hits for all current-generation platforms including PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
A free trial for the unique and historical, adventure and puzzle-based story-driven game A Plague Tale: Innocence is now available.
Developed by Asobo Studios (The Crew, Toy Story 3 and Zoo Tycoon: Ultimate Animal Collection) and published by Focus Home Interactive, A Plague Tale: Innocence is a highly respected game that was released earlier this year.
Set in Middle Ages France, the game takes place in Aquitaine following an English invasion that as brought destruction and misery across the land.

As well as the invading army, a more sinister and supernatural force seems to be at work as the story unfolds.
Playing as Amica de Rune, a young girl from rural Aquitaine, players must guide Amica as she ventures through a nightmare world to find an illness cure for her young companion Hugo.

Hunted by soldiers, a twisted Inquisitor and frenzied rats, the two young friends are having their world turned upside down with no end to the nightmare in sight.
Amica and Hugo must traverse diseased-ridden villages as they hide from their pursuers and avoid being consumed.
The pair must survive by utilizing an excellent blend of gameplay that includes stealth action, puzzles and quick-time events that culminate in a very unique and intriguing experience coupled with a truly terrifying story with many major plot twists.

Released in May 2019, A Plague Tale: Innocence has been praised for it’s gameplay and story and received good reviews from major outlets.
Gamespot and Destructoid scored the game 8 out of 10 and it has a Metarcritic rating of 82/100, which isn’t bad for a game of its type.
For those interested in a unique story and excellent alternative gameplay, A Plague Tale: Innocence free trial is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
