This week only on Epic Games Store you can download Star Wars Battlefront 2 free for PC.
Epic Games Store gives away free games every week, and while a lot of them aren’t AAA titles, every now and then they are.
In the past, free games such as the Batman Arkham series, Alan Wake and Watch Dogs have been given away.
This week’s free game is Star Wars Battlefront 2, an epic online royale from Electronic Arts.
When it was first released, Battlefront 2 suffered some controversy over its pay to win set up.
Since then, the game has been updated to include more free content and loot box items are cosmetic only.
After this update, many game review sites increased their review scores significantly.
Various scenarios allow you to battle against others with a wide range of iconic Star Wars characters.
These include classics like Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader as well as Rey and Kylo Ren.
Other game modes allow you to take control of ships such as TIE Fighters, X Wings and Starfighters.
On the ground, the Clone Wars maps will let you control iconic droids from Episode I, II and III.
There is an absolute ton of amazing Star Wars goodies and a game mode for everyone.
Beware though, this is a tough game and practice makes perfect.
Because pay to win was removed, you will need to put some serious time and effort into this game in order to unlock better items.
Although the main focus of the game is an online battle simulator, there is an excellent single-player campaign that will introduce you to the game’s various mechanics.

The single-player campaign is set in the classic Star Wars era and follows an Imperial soldier turned rebel named Iden Versio as she wages a vendetta against the Empire.
The story also lets you control famous characters such as Luke Skywalker, Lando Calrissian and Han Solo.

A follow-up DLC called Resurrection was released based on the newer series of Star Wars movies.
The second Battlefront title was critically acclaimed and received excellent amended reviews following the loot box controversy.
IGN, for example, amended their review score from 6.5 out of 10 to 8.8 out of ten when pay to win was removed from the game.
