Enter the Gungeon – Ring of Chest Vampirism

What does the Ring of Chest Vampirism do in Enter The Gungeon?

The Ring of Chest Vampirism is a C-rank passive item that will heal you for half a heart every time you break a chest in Enter the Gungeon. Destroying open chests, on the other hand, will not heal you at all.

The Ring of Chest Vampirism shares just one Synergy with one other item in Enter the Gungeon. More on this in the Synergies section below.

Is the Ring of Chest Vampirism a good item in Enter The Gungeon?

The Ring of Chest Vampirism is not a very good item in Enter the Gungeon. While the Ring of Chest Vampirism offers a very useful half-heart heal open destroying chests, you risk missing out on more valuable loot by destroying them.

As you know, Chests are valuable sources of weapons and items in Enter the Gungeon, and getting a quick half heart worth of heal now might not help with the rest of your Gungeon run.

Best Synergy for the Ring of Chest Vampirism in Enter The Gungeon

There is only one Synergy for the Ring of Chest Vampirism and that is the blade Synergy it shares with the Kruller Glaive.

Blade

With the Kruller Glaive and the Ring of Chest Vampirism in your inventory, the blade Synergy will become active.

Blade will give the Kruller Glaive 20% increased damage, and gives it a special ability to revert Jammed enemies to normal upon hit.

How to Use the Ring of Chest Vampirism in Enter The Gungeon?

To reap the benefits of the Ring of Chest Vampirism, you have to break non-opened Chests in the Gungeon. This will heal you for half a heart, but at the same time will give up any item that you might find in Chests as well.

You have to decide between getting a quick small heal and the possibility of getting a better item/gun in the Gungeon when destroying Chests with the Ring of Chest Vampirism.

If you really think about it, a half heart’s worth of heal might come in handy early in your Gungeon run – keeping you alive and kicking for a little longer. However, you might end up not being able to complete the entire run anyway due to due to the lack of powerful items/guns necessary to carry you through much more powerful bosses later in the game.

Conclusion

Overall, the Ring of Chest Vampirism might seem like a great item that will give you a reliable source of healing in the Gungeon, but its benefits pale when you think about the potential loot that you can get from the chests you have to destroy to get a small heal.
