What does the Ring of the Resourceful Rat do in Enter The Gungeon?
The Ring of the Resourceful Rat is a B-rank passive item in Enter the Gungeon that forces the Resourceful Rat to give you guns/items of the same type or quality whenever he takes an item or gun from you in the current room.
You can use the Ring of the Resourceful Rat’s effect one per floor. This lets you trade items with the Resourceful Rat whenever you let him take dropped items intentionally. If you do not let the Resourceful Rat take your items on the current floor, your chance to trade items will carry over to the next floor.
The Ring of the Resourceful Rat is a good item in Enter the Gungeon that allows you to swap out one item/gun that you do not want for another item/gun of the same tier once per room.
Normally, the Resourceful Rat will just take any item you fail to pick up in the current room for himself. With the Ring of the Resourceful Rat in your inventory, you can at least get a gun/item of a similar tier whenever the Resourceful Rat takes your dropped items.
The Ring of the Resourceful Rat does not feature any Synergy with other items/guns in Enter the Gungeon.
To use the Ring of the Resourceful Rat, you need to let the Resourceful Rat take an item/gun you want to have traded in the current room. To do this, drop any item in the current room that you want the Resourceful Rat to pick up, leave the room for a few seconds, then go back to the room and pick up your new item of the same tier.
Typically, the Resourceful Rat will always trade you for your most recently dropped item but he will not trade active items for passive items and vice versa.
The Ring of the Resourceful Rat is a valuable item that removes the risk of completely losing items to the Resourceful Rat around the Gungeon. If you have this item in your inventory, you can expect to get a gun/item of a similar tier whenever the Resourceful Rat takes one of your guns/items from the current room.
