Berserker Engravings in Lost Ark
Like most classes in Lost Ark, you can build the Berserker from a choice of two class Engravings that can significantly change the way you play your Berserker in PvE or PvP – Berserker’s Technique and Mayhem.
Berserker’s Technique
Berserker’s Technique is a Burst Mode-focused Engraving that removes Burst Mode’s downtime, allowing you to start recharging your Fury Gauge as soon as you exit Burst Mode.
Berserker’s Technique also grants the following buffs to Burst Mode: 20% bonus movement speed and attack speed, and a 30% Crit rate buff.
Mayhem
Despite being a counterpart to Berserker’s Technique, Mayhem is arguably a step up to Berserker’s Technique, on paper, at least.
Mayhem will completely remove the Fury Gauge, allowing you to toggle Burst Mode at any time. However, this comes at the cost of being capped at 25% max HP, gaining no more than 25% of shield effects provided by allies.
Compared to Berserker’s Technique, Mayhem also provides slightly lower movement speed and attack speed buffs at 15% each. The Crit rate bonus is completely omitted as well.
Best Berserker Engravings in Lost Ark
Mayhem is probably the most popular Engraving for the Berserker right now. However, less experienced players will have a more difficult time managing their HP pools with this Engraving since the Berserker is limited to just 25% of his total HP when in Burst Mode.
Beginners will find Berserker’s Technique a more usable and forgiving Engraving for the Berserker, which provides powerful buffs in Burst Mode and allows players to recharge Fury meter faster and enter Burst Mode more often.
Other useful Generic Engravings that synergize well with the Berserker are:
- Master of Ambush: gain 25% more damage when attacking from behind.
- Cursed Doll: gain a damage buff in exchange for slow HP regeneration. Works well with Berserker’s Technique.
- Keen Blunt Weapon: gain increased Crit damage at the cost of dealing reduced damage occasionally (-20% damage).
- Grudge: gain 20% increased damage at the cost of taking more damage from all sources.
What build is best for the Berserker?
Beginners will find Berserker’s Technique a more usable and forgiving Engraving for the Berserker, which provides powerful buffs in Burst Mode and allows players to recharge Fury meter faster and enter Burst Mode more often.
If you go for Berserker’s Technique, build up your Specialization stat, so you can fill up your Fury Gauge even faster and activate Burst Mode more often. This will allow you to take enemies head first and essentially ‘tank’ hoards for your allies in PvE.
Mayhem builds will benefit a ton from increased Crit stats, which should allow you to deal more damage with what little HP you have to work with while Burst Mode is active.
What are the best abilities for the Berserker in Lost Ark?
