There are three Treasure Map tiers in Lost Ark – Rare, Epic, and Legendary Maps, each one provides increasingly more valuable loot after you complete the small dungeon the map reveals.
Epic Treasure maps are purple-colored Treasure Maps that provide better loot than Rare Treasure Maps in Lost Ark. As with all Treasure Maps in-game, you can exchange several Epic Treasure Maps for a chance to get an even higher tier Legendary Map.

Epic Treasure Maps Rewards
Rare, Epic, and Legendary Maps give out a varying amount of loot in Lost Ark, where the higher the tier map guarantees better loot from the hidden dungeon revealed by the map.
The rewards you get from completing an Epic Treasure Map dungeon run will vary but expect to get random Gear, XP, Shards, Star’s Breath, and Moon’s Breath.
How to Use an Epic Treasure Map in Lost Ark
To use an Epic Treasure Map in Lost Ark, simply bring up your inventory by pressing the “I” button on your keyboard then search for your Epic Treasure Map. To find the Epic Map faster, just look for a scroll icon with a purple outline around its border.
Right-click the Epic Treasure map to use the item. This will bring up a small map in the middle of the screen which shows the approximate location of the associated hidden dungeon on the map. Head to the location and complete the dungeon run to get rewards.
Alternatively, you can head to the Map Exchange NPC and use the Epic Map as exchange fodder for a chance to get a higher-tier Legendary Map.
