What are Mounts in Lost Ark?
Mounts are reusable items that you can use to travel faster around the game. These items take on various forms, such as a Horse, Tiger, Raptor, or even a mythical three-headed creature.
When you use a mount, your character will hop onto the back of the Mount and leave all the walking and running duties to the Mount, making land travel much faster.
Mounts can have Mount Speeds of around 420-450. Some feature unique dodge skills that help them move even faster. With Mount speeds being very similar from one Mount to another, the main differentiating factor for Mounts in Lost Ark is going to be their aesthetics and dodge skills.
How to Get Mounts in Lost Ark?
You can get Mounts for free in Lost Ark by completing specific quests, collecting specific in-game materials and exchanging them at the Luxury Goods NPC, or receiving chests that contain Mounts.
However, the most reliable way of getting Mounts in Lost Ark is by purchasing them through the Lost Ark Shop with real money.
That said, you can get your first mount as soon as you reach Prideholm and complete the “Tower Where Light Lingers” quest in the game’s main storyline. Father Varut will arrange for a choice of Mounts – a Loghill Black Horse, a Yudhill White Horse, or a Dyorika Brown Horse. All three Mounts differ only in color and offer the same Mount speeds and dodge abilities.
There are various other mounts available in Lost Ark that feature even faster movement speeds, better dodge abilities, and flashier aesthetics.
Fastest Mounts in Lost Ark
The Fastest Mounts in Lost Ark are the Cerberus and Dyorika Warhorse; both of which feature a game-best maximum Mount Speed of 500. The Dawn Chamkuri can also run with the best Mounts for a brief moment thanks to its Sprint ability that gives it a movement speed boost for 3 seconds.
Don’t worry too much about not having the fastest Mounts in Lost Ark, as your free Horse already possesses a very decent Mount speed of 420. Considering the horse is a free Mount that you can acquire very early in the game, you won’t be missing out on too much by sticking with your trusty steed.
With that said, other more aesthetically appealing Mounts can be acquired in Lost Ark by grinding quests, completing tasks, or purchasing them outright from the Lost Ark Shop.

Conclusion
There are over sixty different Mounts in Lost Ark, but only two can run faster than the others – the Cerberus and the upgraded Dyorika Warhorse. When upgraded fully, these two Mounts will have the best Mount Speed of 500 in the game.
However, Mount Speed is not the be-all-end-all of Mounts in Lost Ark. For some players, the Mount’s aesthetics will matter more than how fast the Mount can run through various areas in the game.
