How to Unlock the Sea of Indolence in Lost Ark

What is the Sea of Indolence?

The Sea of Indolence is a Tier 2 Abyssal Dungeon in Lost Ark. It features two unique underwater stages, each consisting of a boss fight, plus a mini-boss fight. It is one of five playable Tier 2 Abyssal Dungeons in the game, alongside Road of Lament, Forge of Fallen Pride, Tranquil Karkosa, and Alaric’s Sanctuary.

Unlike other Abyssal Dungeons that require only 4 players, the Sea of Indolence requires a full party consisting of eight players. You cannot use regular potions, change gear, change skills, or change battle items in the Sea of Indolence. Entry is also limited to just once per character per week.

How to Unlock the Sea of Indolence

You can unlock the Sea of Indolence after you complete the Forge of Fallen Pride and get at least Item Level 960. You also need to reach Combat Level 50 and complete the World Quest: “Will” to participate in the Sea of Indolence.

All eight players looking to queue for Sea of Indolence must complete the requirements above to enter the Abyssal Dungeon. If you haven’t completed the Forge of Fallen Pride yet, we suggest you go back and complete the Abyssal Dungeon at least once so you can unlock the Sea of Indolence.

Sea of Indolence Rewards

The rewards you get from completing the Sea of Indolence are randomly selected from a predetermined list of loot. Below are all the loot you can get for completing the Sea of Indolence in Lost Ark.

  • Epic/Legendary Cards
  • Legendary Tier 2 Accessories (Earrings, Necklace, and Amulets)
  • Tier 2 Ability Stones
  • 5x Guardian’s Will
  • Rare/Epic Battle/Class Engraving Recipe
  • Scar of the Abyss Chest

You can only purchase these rewards at the MVP screen if you are below item Level 1370.

Can you do the Sea of Indolence Solo?

No, you cannot do the Sea of Indolence solo – the same applies to other Abyssal Dungeons in Lost Ark as well. Unlike normal Dungeons or Chaos Dungeons, Abyssal Dungeons require a specific number of players and effective teamwork to complete. You can run Abyssal Dungeons up to three times per week per character.

Abyssal Dungeons is Lost Ark’s endgame co-op PvE content. You can unlock Abyssal Dungeons after you reach Level 50, complete the Waiting and Leaving Quest in North Vern, and reach the Abyssal Dungeon’s Recommended Item Level requirement.

Conclusion

If you already have Abyssal Dungeons unlocked, then all you have to do to unlock the Sea of Indolence is complete the previous Tier 2 Abyssal Dungeon, the Forge of Fallen Pride, complete the World Quest “Will”, and upgrade your gear to reach Item Level 960. With all three requirements met, enter the queue for Sea of Indolence to match with seven other players and start your Abyssal Dungeon run.
