What is a Wandering Merchant?

Wandering Merchants are special merchant NPCs that appear at specific locations and times in Lost Ark. There are 17 Wandering Merchants in the game, and each one carries a unique set of items such as Collectibles, Rapport Items, Cooking Ingredients, and Cards.

Alongside Wandering Merchant NPCs are two Wandering Merchant Ships called Travelling Merchant Ships. Unlike Wandering Merchant NPCs, Traveling Merchant Ships regularly move around the World Map and spawn at fixed locations at fixed time intervals.

As mentioned previously, each Wandering Merchant carries a unique set of items for sale. If you’re looking for a specific item from any of the Wandering Merchants, you’ll have to find them on the map and talk to them manually to purchase an item from their inventory.

How long do Wandering Merchants last?

Wandering Merchants linger for up to 6 hours after they initially spawn. After which, the Wandering Merchant will disappear and other Wandering Merchants will spawn somewhere else on the map.

Traveling Merchants, on the other hand, spawn indefinitely but rotate randomly between six different islands on the World Map. Refer to the Traveling Merchant spawn location above to find these ship merchants in the game.

Conclusion

Unlike typical NPC merchants found in major zones in the game, Wandering Merchants and Traveling Merchant Ships offer a unique list of items you likely won’t find anywhere else. Fortunately, there isn’t a ton of RNG involved in finding specific Wandering Merchants in the game, as all merchants spawn at scheduled times and in specific locations around the game.
